Development alone can solve all problems: Modi

Monday, 31 August 2015 | PNS | New Delhi

The Patel community’s agitation for reservation figured in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Maan Ki Baat, his monthly radio programme, on Sunday. Talking about the violence that hit Gujarat few days back due to agitation, Modi asserted that development alone can resolve all problems.

Expressing satisfaction that peace was restored in Gujarat in a short time, the PM said this violence had caused pain to the entire nation. “The recent incidents of violence in Gujarat have upset the entire nation. Whatever happens to the land of (Mahatma) Gandhi and Sardar Patel, the nation is shocked and pained first,” he said.

“Peace, unity and brotherhood are the only correct way and we have to walk together on the path of development as only it is the solution of our problems,” he added.
