Dr Surya Bali honoured

Renowned figure in the field of Telemedicine Dr Surya Bali was honoured with late Ritu Singh Memorial award for 2015 at Madhya Pradesh Adivasi Sewa Mandal’s national programme. Governor of Himachal Pradesh Urmila Singh presented the award. Every year, late Ritu Singh Memorial award is awarded for excellent work in the field of education and medicine.

For a decade, Dr Bali is working for providing free medical services and health education to tribal communities and has been honoured for his efforts in the past by national and international awards. Dr Bali was presented with a certificate, shawl and `11,000.

At present, Dr Bali is working with AIIMS in Community and Family Medicine Department as Associate Professor and is Nodal Officer for Telemedicine Center, AIIMS, Bhopal.
