Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation limited (HSIIDC) has permitted GAIl (India) for laying of gas pipeline within the Industrial Model Township (IMT) Bawal.
MD of HSIIDC, Vineet Garg on Thursday said that the network of about 9.60 km of gas pipeline will ensure supply of gas to the industries within the IMT, Bawal which will be utilised for generation of power, as an alternate fuel for heating of furnace and to DG sets etc.
All the benefited industries have applauded this initiative of HSIIDC as the use of piped gas will reduce their cost of manufacturing, he said. Garg said that developed by HSIIDC, IMT Bawal is strategically located on NH-8, connecting New Delhi to Jaipur. IMT Bawal was set up to provide an excellent industrial infrastructure with complete social infrastructure like residential, provisions for club, school, nursing homes and shopping centre etc.
Spread over an area of about 3,366 acres, on a length of about 6 km along NH8, this area around Rewari is now throbbing with industrial activities. Garg said that this area is now home to many MNCs and large corporates like YKK, Kansai Nerolac Paints, Ahresty, NTN Bearings, Harley Davidson, Hollister Medical, Becton Dikinson, Tenneco RC India, Carrier Refrigeration and air conditioning Venture, Green Heck, Cooper Standard, POSS Delhi Steel Processing Centre, lS Cable, Excide, Rico Auto, Munjal Auto, Sandhar Technologies, Minda industries, Jay Auto, UCAl Fuel System, Bajaj Motors, Amtek, Kiran Udyog among others. Major industries operating from here are catering to automobile sector, light engineering, machine tools, electronic components, medical equipments and textile sector. With almost 554 plots in production, the industrial area is presently providing employment to nearly 30000 persons including skilled and unskilled workers, added he.
