Acting on a disproportionate asset allegation, Vigilance police on Friday conducted simultaneous raids on houses and office room of Khordha R&B Executive Engineer Satyanarayan Sahu at different places and found asserts worth over Rs1 crore possessed by him and his family members. Sahu’s residential house at Niladri Vihar, a flat in the Apararna Residency at Sailashree Vihar, father-in-law’s house at Belgaon village in Ganjam district, paternal houses at Pudungi and Hinjilkat in Ganjam district, office room at Khordah and residence of Sachidananda Parida at Sundarpur at Chandaka here were searched.
During search, the sleuths detected two cars and motorcycle worth Rs18,13,900, gold ornaments worth Rs7,50,000, various deposits worth Rs10,50,625 and hard cash of Rs10,85,500. Similarly, immovable assets worth Rs53,00,000 were detected.The search was still continuing, informed an official release.
