Two toppers from State, Vinayak Trivedi and Shantanu Kumar, who prepared for the prestigious examination at Champ Square and scored 147th and 196th ranks respectively, shared with 'The Pioneer' their plans for future and tips for cracking the test.
"I wish to opt for Computer Science and my preferred institutions are Delhi and Kanpur branches of Indian Institute of Technology. After completing my Bachelors in Technology, I plan to go for management studies," said a jubilant Vinayak Trivedi.
Vinayak intends to pool his technical and managerial skills to establish a start-up dealing in robotics. "This remains a widely unexplored sector in India with immense scope. I want to create a robot which will revolutionise the industrial sector by plugging losses in terms of resources and time," he said.
He advised his other aspiring engineers to effectively utilise the last two years of their school life to prepare for the IIT entrance examination. "Students should have absolute faith on their teachers during these two years. The books recommended by the teachers should be followed. Aspirants should also stay away from social networking sites as they prepare," said Vinayak.
Shantanu Kumar, who has been living in Ranchi for the last 5 years, also shared his intentions to study Computer Sciences from IIT, Bombay. "Hard work is the key to cracking JEE. Students should prepare on basis of their own capabilities instead of consulting others," he advised.
In its first batch itself as many as 36 students cleared the IIT JEE advanced from Champ Square. Students credited their success to hard work and continuous mentoring by faculty members of Champ Square.
