'Hans foundation working with Govt for development of State'

The Hans foundation is working as a partner of State Government in development of Uttarakhand, said the Chief Minister Harish Rawat while speaking at a ceremony organised to honour Chairperson of Hans Foundation Mangla Mata at Bijapur guest house on Tuesday. She was felicitated with ‘ Uttarakhand Ratna’ award. The award carries a citation and cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.

Effusing praises on Mangla Mata and Bhole Ji Maharaj, the CM said that the Hans Foundation is name of a hope among those who are distressed and needy.

He said that the foundation is reaching where even the State Government is failing to reach.  Rawat congratulated Mangal Mata for selflessly helping poor and expressed gratitude for this work of hers. The CM said that he is happy to start the practice of Uttarakhand Ratna honour in State. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mangla Mata thanked Chief Minister and Government for the honour. She said that the foundation is working in the field of education, health and disaster management. Mangla Mata added an amount of Rs 6 lakh from her side on the cash award of Rs 5 lakh and donated the resultant amount of Rs 11 lakh for the Chief Minister’s relief fund.

Bhole ji Maharaj, Cabinet Ministers Dinesh Agarwal, Rajendra Singh Bhandari, MlAs Vikram Singh Negi, Ganesh Godiyal and working President of Rajya Andolankari Samman Parishad Dhirendra Pratap were present on the occasion.
