HCP to redesign Subarnarekha project

Soon the detailed project report (DPR) of Subarnarekha River rejuvenation work will be completed said the officials of the company, HCP design, planning and management private limited who will redesign the project yet again seeking different facets on the verge of Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project, said Mayor Asha lakra on Monday after the meeting was conducted with the other stakeholders who have collaborated with the civic body to work together in the project. Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) is working in collaboration with JUIDCO and HCP to give a facelift to one of the major rivers and tributaries.

“The company has given us no deadline but problems like encroachment issue need to be addressed on priority basis to initiate the project at earliest. The company officials will redesign the project. At present, the company is at preliminary stage of survey. The company officials have claimed to complete the survey of few locations of the riverside. The entire project has been divided into four zones,” said, lakra.

“While presenting the report, the officials have pointed out that zone four may create hurdle as the place have maximum numbers of houses situated along the riverside. Those areas used up for agriculture purposes will be targeted at last. No major decision was taken as this was the first meeting of all the stakeholders working on rejuvenation project of Subarnarekha River and it was basically to make stakeholders aware about its basic features,” added lakra.
