locals blocked National Highway (NH)-215 at Khalana Chhak under the Ramchandrapur police limits in Keonjhar district on Monday morning over the murder of a trader.
Vehicular movement between Panikoili in Jajpur district and Keonjhar was disrupted due to the blockade.
According to reports, Sushant Kumar Sahu, a cement trader, was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants on Sunday night when he was asleep inside his shop at Khalana Chhak.
Sahu’s body was found in a pool of blood on Monday morning, following which the irate locals staged the road blockade. Police have started investigation into the incident.
