Union Min, MlAs review dev works in Hazaribagh

MP and MoS Jayant Sinha and MlAs Manish Jaiswal, JP Patel, Manoj Yadav and Nirmala Devi took part in the marathon meeting of district development coordination and evaluation committee (DISHA) held in Suchna Bhawan auditorium of Hazaribagh collectorate on Wednesday evening.

In this meeting they reviewed the progress and up to date status of different schemes going on in the district. The officials of district administration presented their reports one by one before the elected peoples representatives and then discussions took place and suggestions and directions were given by MP, MlAs and senior officials.

In this meeting MP Jayant Sinha said that the Central Government has started many schemes for the benefit of common people of this country during last three years and many people of Hazaribagh district had already benefited but the district administration should try its best so that more and more people can get the benefits in the days to come. Stressing upon the need to increase the pace of developmental works, Sinha said that in some schemes the district administration has done good job while in some the situation is not so encouraging.

MlA Manish Jaiswal congratulated the district administration for doing a good job in implementation of Swacch Bharat scheme. Other peoples representative also congratulated the district administration team. In this meeting the district administration claimed that Hazaribagh is at the top of the list of districts in the state for implementing MNREGA scheme. The overall percentage of the state is 40 while Hazaribagh achieved 51% mark by implementing more than 12000 developmental works under this scheme.

MlA Manoj Yadav raised the matter of ration cards and said that many people who really need it are still waiting for it while those who do not fulfill the requisites of getting subsidized ration has already got new ration cards. Other people’s representative supported him and finally it was decided to start identification of such persons by making a committee for cancelling such cards. DC Ravishankar Shukla said that no new ration card has been issued since last six months because the portal is closed.

After this meeting Jayant took part in a Jan Samwad Program organized by district BJP along with MlA Manish Jaiswal, Mayor Anjali Kumari, DC Ravishankar Shukla and SP Anup Birthare. In this program he sought suggestions from the denizens of Hazaribagh on different issues people raised the problem of water supply, electricity, road, medical facility, traffic etc. in this meeting. The program concluded late in the evening.
