UP-based Jeeva gang 'leader' lands in STF net

Special Tax Force (STF) Uttarakhand has arrested a hardcore criminal who is supposed to be the head of the notorious Uttar Pradesh -based Jeeva gang Muzahid alias Khan alias Pappu from ISBT on Saturday.

Police claimed that he had come to Dehradun to kill a businessman. Police also recovered a 9 mm pistol and some cartridges from his possession.  A police officer said that the accused Muzahid was involved in several murder cases committed in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Police acted upon being informed of a criminal roaming around ISBT area to kill a businessman. A team comprising inspector RB Chamola, head constable Deepak Arora and constables Kailash Nayal, Anup Bhatt, Deepak Chandola and Mohan Aswal nabbed the hardened criminal from ISBT area of the city.

SSP Riddhim Aggarwal has announced reward of Rs 2500 to the team members for arresting the absconder allegedly involved in Amit Goldi murder case. 

While being grilled, the accused reportedly confessed to having come to Dehradun to kill a Dehradun- based businessman with whom he is having a property dispute. As per the plan hatched, while had reached Dehradun on Saturday another gang member Shahrukh Pathan was to reach the city  in a few days to act on the plan of doing in the  businessman. 

Aggarwal said that several teams have been formed and deployed at various places of western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, lucknow to arrest the sharp shooters.
