Aditya Nigam develops first 'Triwizard Chess'

For the first time in India, the chess lovers can play chess on a three player chess board. The St Joseph’s Co-ed School ex student Aditya Nigam developed India’s first three-player Chess- the Triwizard Chess.

Aditya is an IIT- Roorkee graduate. The triwizard chess follows the national and international rules of the game. Here on Monday, a chess competition on triwizard chess was held at St Joseph’s Co-ed School.

The competition was inaugurated by Principal Father Varghese Shiju PS and former IAS officer Vishwas Dharamadhikari. Nirbhay Shrivastava, Rajendra Nigam and Sushma Nigam were also present on the occasion.

To begin with the competition, the guests interacted with the students and participants. They motivated the participants to showcase the best of their talent in the game. It is to be noted that as many as 100 students participated in the Triwizard Chess on Monday.

The competition was played in two categories i.e. Under-19 and Under- 14. Under 19 category, Vedant Bharadwaj won the first prize. Besides, Diksha Moolchandani and Saksham Rajpoot won the second and the third prize respectively.

Under 14 category, Kushagra Khare won the first prize. Second prize was bagged by Pulkit Shrivastava and third prize was won by Shipat Singh Saluja.

Principal Father Varghese Shiju PS congratulated the winners. He also encouraged them to do well in their studies and work hard for their bright future. On the occasion, manager Father Ronald Cadorsa, sisters, school staff, Public Relation Officer Vasundhara Sharma and students were also present.
