NMDC organises ‘Run for Unity’ event

Director (Personnel), NMDC Ltd  Sandeep Tula,  flagged  off the “Run for Unity” event on Wednesday at Singh’s Cricket Ground in Hyderabad, a company press release informed.

‘Run for Unity’ was conducted to mark the occasion – “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” which is celebrated countrywide on occasion of birth anniversary of “Iron Man of India” - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

After administering Rishtriya Ekta pledge to employees of NMDC and students of various schools and colleges,

Tula said that the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel will provide all of us an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our Nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.

He emphasized that ‘Run for Unity’ which is aimed to create awareness about benefits of unity, brotherhood and set patriotic mood across the Nation.

This event was conducted for various age groups such as for children below 13 years, children below 16 years and open category for all. Apart from employees of NMDC, about 400 students from various schools and colleges also participated in the said “Run for Unity” with great enthusiasm.

Tula distributed prizes to the winners in “Run for Unity”. Senior officials of NMDC and employees in good number participated in Run for Unity programme.
