It is surprising that being the largest networking bank in the country, the SBI Bhubaneswar Circle is unable to intimate transactional message to customers through SMS since five months or more. Earlier, customers used to get their debit and credit transactional messages in their mobiles through SMS. Even after submitting SMS alert registration slip in the bank for a number of times, service is not restored except testing message only.
As a result, customers are worried for being kept ignorant about their banking transactions. To get messages from the bank about any type of monetary transaction is absolutely a right of customers when the SBI account has already been linked with the mobile number. When the country is turning towards digitalisation, can’t we expect minimum SMS facility from the bank time to time, may not be at very moment but on the same day?
