Third CII State CSR conclave held

Third CII State CSR conclave was held here on Saturday in partnership with UNICEF and supported by AISSECT and Bharat Oman Refinery Ltd on the theme of transforming social development of India

While giving the keynote address Rajesh Khare, Vice Chairman CII MP State Chapter said that CSR is bridge between corporate and society.

Speaking in the inaugural session Michael Juma, Chief UNICEF Madhya Pradesh said that he called on corporate organisation for doing more for children, and their active engagement on issues like under nutrition, child marriage and focus on first thousand days in life of the child can help address challenges for children. He said that leveraging CSR is critical for spurring inclusive social development of women and children in the State.

Earlier, while giving the welcome remarks and theme address Manish Rajoria, Convener of CII MP on CSR and Education spoke on the CSR act, the theme of the meet and why it is important for us to do more on CSR.

UC Upadhyay, Senior Vice President HR, Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd, spoke on the efforts being done as part of CSR in and around Bina area by the company and shared his thoughts and plans for CSR in coming year.  

Anant Toppo, AGM Township, Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited shared the work being done by BHEL on CSR in field of Education, inclusive development and for benefit of society in MP.

Anil Gulati, Communication Specialist, UNICEF, Madhya Pradesh spoke on CSR for children and he urged on corporates to put children first and as part of CSR they can contribute by respecting child rights and mobilise support on nutrition, 1000 days in life of child, supporting awareness initiatives on child marriage and sports for development.
