The hunt for a wife begins when landlord asks Prannath to get his wife if he wants to live in the house. The hilarious search for a wife puts Brahamchari Prannat’s life in a twist.

Shankar Shesh’s brilliant comedy story ‘Til Ka Taad’ was staged at Shaheed Bhavan auditorium on Monday. Marking the last day of Hasya Natya Utsav, the play was performed.

Directed by Deepak Kirar, the story of the play revolves around a character ‘Prananath’ who is the protagonist of the story.

Pranath does a job in the city and lives in a rented house. Seth Dhanamal is his landlord. Seth Dhannamal on the other hand is a different character. He does not give his house on rent to bachelors. But to survive, Prananath had to do something. So, he lied to Seth Dhannamal that he is married.

The twist in the story ensues when one day Dhannamal threatens Prananath to bring his wife or else his stuff will be thrown out of the house. Being disturbed by this, Prananath looks for the girl. He also asks his friends for help in this context. In the meantime, Manju Devi, a girl trapped in trouble, arrives at his house.

She was on the run and hiding from her kidnappers Prananath saves her and proposes a deal before her. He asks he to pretend to be his wife before the landlord and she can live in the house. Manjju Devi accepts this deal. Dhannamal inquires about Prananath's family from Manju and in nervousness she said that the Prananath’s younger brother is engineer. Dhanamal thinks of fixing his daughter's relationship with him.

On the other hand, Brahamchari, Prananath’s friend threatens him to disclose the truth. Meanwhile, Prananth’s father and father-in-law happen to visit him and get into a fight with Dhannamal.

In the end, Manju Devi unveils the secrets and describes the status of women in society. The play left the audience into a whril of laughter and they enjoyed the play laughing their hearts out.
