Modi lists 100 days of Govt achievements

Sounds poll bugle in Haryana, seeks huge mandate for Manohar-led Govt

Sounding a poll bugle in the election-bound Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday presented his Government’s report card in the first 100 days in office and also praised Chief Minister Manohar Lal-led Government for fighting corruption and nepotism.

“The past 100 days were the days of change, determination, improvement, and good intention,” the Prime Minister said while addressing a Vijay Sankalp Rally here.

He said be it the matter of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh or of water crisis, 130 crore citizens of India have started looking for new solutions to the problems. India now gives challenging response to every challenge, the Prime Minister said.

He also thanked the people of the State for making the BJP win all 10 parliamentary seats in the general elections.

“In the last five years, the game of corruption on the land of farmers in Haryana has also stopped. On the basis of such an excellent track record of five years, the whole of Haryana has stood in favour of the BJP,” he said while urging the people to support Haryana CM Manohar Lal in the upcoming Assembly elections as they supported him in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Praising the Chief Minister, he said the State has been declared ODF and kerosene free and is contributing significantly to the country’s growth.

He said that families in Haryana have become ‘Manohar’ today, a reference to the Chief Minister’s name.

Saying Rohtak has always given him more than what he asked for, Modi said people of Haryana often face difficulty in understanding their CM’s name. They get confused between ‘Manohar’ and ‘NaMohar’. I want to tell them that both are equally correct, they are one and the same, he said.

The Prime Minister said during the last five years, Haryana has got the benefit of double engine of BJP’s Centre and State Government. The projects worth of Rs 25,000 crore of the Centre Government are in progress, he added.

Modi also appreciated the State Government for the effective implementation of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao programme.

Referring to the Jan Ashirwad Yatra of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, he said the Yatra has been unprecedented. The massive support of the people which the Yatra got clearly reflects which way the wind is blowing, he said.

Modi also invoked the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) spirit at the rally and said, “At 1.50 am on September 7, the entire nation was sitting in front of TV, looking at Chandrayaan. In those 100 seconds, I witnessed how it awakened and united the entire country. We talk about sportsman spirit, it is ISRO’s spirit in Hindustan now.”

The Prime Minister also spoke about his 2.0 Government’s achievements in its first 100 days.

Referring to Jammu & Kashmir, Modi said the country and the world have witnessed in past 100 days that India is challenging every challenge, whether it is decades old or is of future.

“I have come here in Haryana at a time, when BJP-led NDA Government is completing 100 days. These 100 days have been of development, trust and big changes in the country. These 100 days have also been of decisiveness, dedication, good intention,” he said.

Taking a dig at the Opposition parties, he said they are still “numb” from their Lok Sabha polls debacle.

During his about 45 minutes speech, the Prime Minister also said that several important laws have been passed in recent months, including to deal with terrorism and for protection of rights of Muslim women.

The Government has prepared a roadmap for the betterment of the economy. The historic decision in banking sectors has been taken to boost the Indian economy. Desire level of achievement in various economic sectors will be achieved soon, he added.
