Arushi organises campaign for visually impaired students

Amway in association with its NGO partner Arushi organized a distribution & demonstration on the use of White Canes to the visually impaired students. The aim of the event was to educate the visually impaired students on the right technique to use the white cane for an unhindered and safe mobility.

The occasion was graced by Jitendra Raje, Executive Director, Environmental Planning and Coordination Organization (EPCO), who along with Rohit Trivedi, Volunteer, Arushi, Jignesh Mehta, Regional Manager Corporate Communications & CSR- West, Amway India and Amway direct sellers presented white canes to the beneficiaries to mark this special event.

On the occasion, Rohit Trivedi, Volunteer Arushi, said, “White Cane is the symbol of freedom, independence and confidence for the visually impaired. Hence, it is important to educate the visually impaired students on the effective use of white cane at an early stage of their lives. We are extremely proud to be associated with Amway India and have been consistently celebrating International White Cane Day together, year after year and our relationship has become stronger with a clear focus of enabling the visually challenged to have a better future.”

Amway has been supporting and promoting the welfare of the visually impaired individuals since 1999.
