Bhagwad Gita competition by ISCON on April 21

International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) has announced to organise an interschool Bhagwad Gita competition on April.21. Senior mentor of ISKON, Dr. Keshav

Anand Das and his junior Shyam Braj Vilas Das said it was first time that such a competition taking place in this district.

Giving details, they said competition is divided in two categories comprises of one having students of class-6 to class-10. Second group will have students of intermediate to postgraduate.

They said in first category, students will have to pay Rs.300 as entry fee in which they will get a Bhagvad Gita costing Rs.200. Participants of the second category will have to pay Rs.500 and each of them will also get a Bhagvad Gita. In first category, winner will get Rs.25,000 as prize money followed Rs.15,000 to second and Rs.10,000 to third winner. In second category, winner will get Rs.1lakh followed by Rs.50,000 to second and Rs.25,000 to third one.

Das said nowadays people giving more preference to fast life and have no time for their ancient treasure like Bhagvad Gita.

He said Gita had solution of each and every problem and so they want students to read this holy book.

According to him, each and every person has a good human in him.

He said science has proved that students has more grasping power than a grown-up man so it's time to make them read books like Gita to become a good citizen and nice human being.
