With the gradual increase in temperatures, hot and humid conditions prevailed on the weekend making people of the Capital to remain indoors.

Day temperatures have soared to 40 degree Celsius in the state and state capital. Temperatures would increase gradually in the absence of system which could induce abrupt change.  Abrupt changes were harsh still they provided relief from scorching weather conditions.

The State Capital witnessed 38.3 degree Celsius during the day. Hot winds were not witnessed but sun shine was prickling. The day temperatures started to soar from the morning hours and peaked by afternoon. The hotness was witnessed till late in the evening as winds were not soothing. 

The forecast claims that state capital might witness day and night temperatures around 39 and 23 degree Celsius. Among the major cities day temperatures were recorded around 38 degree Celsius. The highest day temperature was recorded at 42 degree Celsius in Khargone.  

The abrupt changes thundery activities, dust storms and rainfall have faded away and normal weather conditions prevailed with hot and humid conditions.

Temperatures in Rewa division recorded significant increase. From the trend of increasing temperatures Chambal, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar and Gwalior divisions witnessed temperatures below normal temperature.

Khandwa, Mandla, Shajapur, Betul, Raisen and Damoh recorded day temperature at 40 degree Celsius which was among the highest day temperatures recorded.

The night temperatures which were at harsh levels dipped to lower levels and have been recorded around 20 degree Celsius.
