A scintillating musical evening was witnessed by Bhopalites at Bharat Bhavan. Here on Sunday an event was organised under Saptak series.

The programme started with 'Santoor-Sitar Jugalbandi' by young artists Sanskriti Vahane and Prakrati Vahane. They began their performance with Raga Yaman. They continued with 'Japa' in 'Jaap-Halle'.

After this, Santoor-Sitar Jugal Bandi was presented in the medieval Jhapa Tal. Sanskritit and Prakriti wrapped up their performance by presenting jugalbandi in Teen Taal, Dhrut Laya.

The Bhopalites seemed to have rushed at the hall to listen to the recital of the young players. It was a sheer music for the ears of the music buffs.

The artists chose to bring smiles on faces by playing the tuneful jugalbandi in teen-taal. As they began the performance, there was pin-drop silence at the hall. The performers on the other hand tried to cope up with each other.

It was a musical tussle where both of them sometimes tried to match-up and sometimes tried to catch-up. Each taal of theirs was enthralling the audience at the hall.

The finale of the jugalbandi exceeded the expectations and the duo presented the performance in a generous way letting the audience clap for them till the end.

Their jugalbandi left the audience totally enthralled. It is to be noted that Sanskriti and Prakriti gained the primary education of music from their father's sitar player, Lokesh Vahani. They have presented at international platforms as well.

Both the artists created a melodious magic as they hit the strings of Santoor and Sitar. Their commitment and enthusiasm towards the instrument and classical music made the classical music lovers appreciate their talent a lot. They were able to make audience sit till the end of their performance and let the audience enjoy more.
