Calligraphy, project work display at OPS

Oxford Public School (Jr. Wing) witnessed an array of talents in the Calligraphy and Project Work Display here on Saturday. The programme was inaugurated by SP Home Guard, Headquarters, Ranchi, Amber Lakra. He appreciated the students for their wonderful exhibits. It was a remarkable day as the students of Classes Prep to V unleashed their creativity in various disciplines.

 The ‘Smart City’ presented by the Eco Club emphasized on a pollution free city. The model of Chandrayan – 2 displayed by the students of Class III captivated the audience. The 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was the highlight of the show as the students of Class IV presented the Salt Satyagraha and the use of Khadi. Students also presented Magic Tricks with the help of Vedic Maths. Students of Classes IV & V mesmerized the audience with the Kavi Sammelan. The budding poets were at their lyrical best. The Journey of a Letter presented by Class III showed the various phases of the evolution of the letter.

The Chief Guest was felicitated by the school with a shawl and memento. Principal, Junior Wing, Rashmi Bakshi, applauded the efforts put up by the students and the teachers. She said that such programmes help in unearthing the storehouse of hidden talents. Principal, Suraj Sharma encouraged the children with his inspiring words. He reiterated that little minds can do wonders if guided properly. Kiran Mehta, Secretary, Oxford Group of Institutions also graced the occasion with her kind words.

Chairman, Oxford Group of Institutions, SBP Mehta, in his message congratulated the students for putting up a wonderful show. The programme was judged by Lt. Col. Deeptika Agarwal, Sanjay Gupta (Scientist), Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology and Tamil Selvi (In-charge).

Neshat Perween, Poonam Sinha, Ajitha Rani, Aparna Sen, Manideepa De, Sujon Pal, Madhumita Putitundi, Indu Singh, Anurag Vidyarthi were thanked for their special contribution.
