CM directs CS to convene high-level meeting with NMDC

Expressing displeasure over delay in establishment of super specialty hospital by the NMDC’s under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, not giving preference to local youths in employment and not shifting the corporation’s regional headquarters in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday instructed the chief secretary (CS) to fix a meeting of him with NMDC officials.

The chief minister gave the instruction at a meeting of Bastar Development Authority (BDA) held here.

In the meeting, Baghel said when the NMDC was earning    revenue from the state it is its duty to arrange hospital building,       necessary equipments and machines, and arrangements of doctors and other medical staff under its CSR scheme. 

Reprimanding the NMDC for delay in establishing super specialty hospital, the CM instructed the CS to convene a high level meeting of him with senior officials of the   corporation.

Baghel also instructed the CS to write a letter to NMDC for establishing their regional headquarters in Bastar, for giving preference to local youths in employment and making Dantewada and Jagdalpur the examination centers for recruitment process.
