Mahila police have booked a 32-year-old man and his wife for keeping in captivity and sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in Kajlikheda. The victim was sexually assaulted and kept in captivity in the month of February this year. then, a complaint was lodged with the police on Saturday.

The accused identified as Rajan and his wife Sangeeta were acquainted with the victim and on February 10 victim went to attend a marriage and stayed at their house where Rajan sexually assaulted her in the presence of Sangeeta.

Later on April 19 the victim was captivated and raped in Kajlikheda and on Saturday victim lodged complaint. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and sections of POCSO Act were also imposed.

Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man was attacked with iron rod by two miscreants at ISBT under Govindpura police station area on Sunday. The victim identified as Kashiram alias Raju Chouhan was attacked with iron rod injuring him in his head and was rushed to nearby hospital where his condition in reportedly critical.

A complaint was lodged with the Govindpura police by victim stating that the Asad and his brother Bhaiyu attacked Kashiram after verbal spate turned violent and escaped the spot. Injured victim was rushed to Paliwal hospital where his condition is reportedly critical.

SHO Govindpura police Ashok Singh Parmar said that victim and accused work with Verma travels at ISBT and victim was attacked in his head during a fight between them in the afternoon on Saturday.

The two accused are absconding and search for the two has been started, he added.  The police have registered a case under section 307 and 34 of the IPC and started search for the accused who are absconding.
