In a bid to keep his bastion intact ahead of the upcoming State Assembly Elections, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Executive president Hemant Soren held a massive public meeting during his fifth stoppage of ‘Badlaw Yatra’ in Godda and attacked the Government for ‘failure in very field’ .

Addressing a public gathering in Godda, Soren said that Konar Irrigation Project, which took 42 long years to be commissioned, could not last for even 24 hours after its inauguration and was inundated with the water of the dam within hours of the launching.

“The Government was patting its back for launching of the project but the originality came before people of the State within hours of the launching. This is situation of every project of the State Government. Das inaugurated the project in haste without knowing the fact that the dam project is not completed and such kinds of several inauguration programmes are going on to attract attention of people just before the State Assembly Elections,” said Soren.

The former Chief Minister said that if voted to power in the State, he will form a ‘Kisan Bank’ so that the farmers will get facility of easy credit.

Soren launch his ‘Badlao Yatra’ on August 26 from Sahebganj with a view to meet people to convey his message before State Assembly Elections. He will address public meetings in all districts across the State through the ‘Yatra’.

While talking to the media persons before addressing the public meeting Soren said that Prasant Thakur, who was recently arrested by the State Police for involvement in criminal activity, is not a party member. When asked about that four MLA’s of his party is going to join BJP he said that it is plotting of BJP and no scribe has courage to write against BJP as their owners are deeply drowned in sycophancy of the party.

Speaking on the local issue of Godda, Soren said that BJP Government forcefully acquired lands of farmers for its capitalist friend to open an electricity factory. “The Government has given loss of Rs 7,400 crore by amending electricity policy. Mines and coal blocks is here and the Government is purchasing electricity worth Rs 3,000 crore from outside of the State. If people of the State will give mandate to JMM then the party Government will sell electricity instead of coal. After providing full electricity supply to farmers and locals we will sell remaining electricity to other states,” said Soren.

Former Minister and veteran party leader Hazi Hussain Ansari was also present on the occasion.
