Haryana Cooperation Minister, Banwari Lal on Tuesday said that the State Government has extended the last date of the one-time settlement scheme for loanee members and farmers of the cooperative banks upto December 31, 2019, so that the benefit of this scheme can be availed by maximum numbers of members and farmers.
Banwari Lal shared this information while interacting with the mediapersons here. Earlier, he also listened to the grievances of the people who came to meet him and directed the officials present in this regard.
He informed that the total amount of short term loan of HARCO Bank is about Rs Rs 3091.55 crore and there are about 6,99,804 beneficiaries, out of which Rs 962 crore has been recovered from about 2,10,840 beneficiaries till December 7 and a loan amount of Rs 2128.79 crores is pending.
Similarly, there are 92258 beneficiaries of the Land Mortgage Bank and the total loan amount is Rs 1577.75 crores, out of which an amount of Rs 185.43 crores has been recovered from 7169 loanee beneficiaries till December 7, he said.
The Minister informed that all the loanee farmers and members of all District Central Cooperative banks under Haryana State Cooperative APEX Bank, Chandigarh and all District Primary Co-operative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks under Primary Co-operative Societies and State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks were included in this scheme who could not repay overdue loans for any reason.
Under this scheme, overdue loanee members as on August 31, 2019, of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies have been provided relief of full interest, he said.
