Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra unveiled a newly-constructed office building of the Superintendent of Police (SP), Kalahandi and a Reserve Office (RO) building at Bhawanipatna on Sunday.
Director General of Police BK Sharma, who was present on the occasion, interacted with senior citizens and noted their feedbacks on implementation of the ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative. He also inaugurated a blood donation camp at the site. Later, Sharma conducted a meeting with police officers on execution of the Mo Sarkar and 5T initiatives.
The BJP slammed the Government for not inviting local MLA and Leader of Opposition Pradipta Naik to the buildings’ inauguration ceremony.
“As per norms, the local MLA is invited to Government programmes. As Naik raised voice against police inaction in Jajpur district’s Haridashpur VLW murder case, he was not invited to the programme. It smacks of political intolerance,” alleged BJP State vice-president Samir Mohanty.
