MP strongly objects to Abhishek Mishra’s arrest

Madhya Pradesh has taken a strong objection on arrest of Abhishek Mishra, a resident of Chhatarpur by the Delhi Police without informing local police.

While registering objection vide its letter to Delhi Police Commissioner, the State’s Home Department has described the action of Delhi Police as violation of the Supreme Court.

It is to be noted that it was informed by Ashok Mishra, the resident of Chhatarpur at around 8.30 pm on January 22, 2019 that his son Abhishek Mishra has been taken along by some unknown persons from his residence 111, Rajeev Nagar, NRI Colony, Bhopal located in Koh-e Fiza.

He is not getting any information of Abhishek Mishra’s where about and his mobile is switched off.

On investigation by the local Police, information was received from the Director Anshuman Singh of his Social Media Company that Abhishek Mishra, the resident Near Sahu Ki Chakki, Pathapur Road,

Chhatarpur, MP has been arrested by Praveen Kumar, Inspector, Cyber Crime Unit, Special Cell, Delhi Police on January 22, 2019.

While providing the above mentioned information vide letter to Delhi Police Commissioner, the Home Department of the State Government has written that it seems from the entire incident that the Special Cell of the Delhi Police has not followed the directives of the Supreme Court properly while arrest.

Neither Local Police was not informed nor was information given to the family, which has raised a doubt of kidnapping.

The Home Department vide in its letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner has written that necessary investigation should be carried out in this action which has been taken by the Delhi Police against the law.

Along with this, Madhya Pradesh Government should be informed by taking appropriate action against the responsible officer for this inappropriate action.
