To commemorate the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as "National Unity Day", a mini marathon "Run for Unity" was organised in the morning hour of Thursday at Sipat Super Thermal Power Station of the NTPC Ltd.
Anil Kumar Choudhary, General Manager (Operation and Maintenance) flagged off the race in the presence of other general managers and senior officials. Large numbers of employees and associates participated in this marathon to show their solidarity to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, said an NTPC press release.
The successful participants of marathon awarded with individual medal and memento. In the afternoon, march past demonstrated by the CISF personnel. Anil Kumar Choudhary addressed the employees and CISF personnel on importance of national unity and integrity on the occasion.
