Mangal Singh, Nitesh Bhardwaj, Rowing Players of Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy have been selected for Junior National Coaching Camp.
The camp is being held at Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad for preparation for Asian Junior Rowing Championship. The championship will be held at Pattaya, Thailand from December 16 to 22.
Player Vijay Pal Singh has been selected by the Rowing Federation of India. Expressing happiness over the selection of academy players for Junior National Coaching Camp, Director Sports and Youth Welfare SL Thoussen has congratulated him and best wishes.
The said players are reaching Hyderabad for participation in the National Training Camp. After training, he will be in the Asian Junior Rowing Championship.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day, a blood donation camp was organised today at Sports Science Center at the city stadium in collaboration with Bhopal Memorial Hospital, where sports coaches, sportspersons and officials of the sports department participated enthusiastically and voluntarily donated blood.
After donating blood, donors were awarded citations by Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center, Department of Health Research (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare), Government of India.
The blood donation camp is organized under an initiative by Sports Director SL Thoussen. As many as 57 people donated blood. Hemoglobin, blood pressure, etc. were tested by the 12-member team of Bhopal Memorial Hospital to check the health of blood donors before blood donation in the camp held from 11 am to 4.30 pm on Friday.
Information given through the blood donation camp stated that we all have a moral responsibility to protect human life, to help those who need blood. Any healthy person who is between 18 and 65 years of age, weighs 45 kg or more and has hemoglobin at least 12.5 grams per dl can donate blood.
