Step into a new world

A nation, no matter big or small, remains underdeveloped because of the low standard of the morality and spirituality of its citizens, says Rajyogi Brahmakumar Nikunj Ji

A man without character can’t reign because power apart from character is Satanic, said American minister William Marrion Branham. That is why the greatness of a nation lies in the greatness of the character of its leaders and people alike. A nation, no matter big or small, remains underdeveloped because of the low standard of the morality and spirituality of its citizens.

It has rightly been said, “If wealth is lost, nothing is lost; if health is lost, something is lost; but if character is lost, everything is lost.” This old saying has been proved amply in the conflict that is going on between many neighbouring nations across Asia. There might be many political or military reasons for the recent defeat of a militant group in Western Asia but the most important among them was the moral degeneration and characterlessness of the people in that group. They used to operate as an unrecognised proto-state before turning into a jihadist militant group. At the beginning of the Army crack-down on them, the stories of rape, arson and other inhuman treatment, especially of  women, reflected their inner weakness. It clearly signifies that such characterless people can never be victorious. Thus, it should be clear to the leaders and thinkers across the globe that characterlessness or the disease of lust was the basic cause of their ultimate defeat.

Moral and spiritual character is the backbone of any nation. The victory of Indian Armed Forces in every conflict is truly the victory of their characters. Even in a violent war, the character of the forces as well as of the people play a decisive role. And it is appropriate to mention that almost all the religious founders have emphasised the need of the highest character to win the kingdom of heaven, even without fighting a violent war. Take, for instance, the example of the worship-worthy deities of India. No one knows their real biography but — Sri Lakshmi and Sri Narayana, Sri Sita and Sri Rama — were the all-virtuous, completely viceless divine conquerors of the world, who possessed both the crowns of purity and political power. They came to be the sovereigns of the entire world due to their sublimity, soul-consciousness, peacefulness and love. It was later on, only after 2,500 years of the rule of the dynasties of Sri Lakshmi and Sri Narayana when the descendants of those deities lost that highest character, as a result of which their sovereignty was divided in several states. Again, at this auspicious hour of the confluence of the end of Kaliyuga and the beginning of Satyuga, when almighty supreme is re-establishing the same sovereignty of the deities, why not to raise our standard of the character to the highest stage to become worship-worthy like rulers of the golden age? It is better to be the children of a worthy father than to bring a bad name to him by remaining vicious or characterless creatures. So let us awake and arise because now is the time. We are all pure and perfect in our original and true nature like our supreme father. So let us be what we originally are — the deities of the highest character in the world.
