387 test +ve on Friday in J&K

The total number of coronavirus positive cases are set to cross 10,000 in the next 24 hours in Jammu & Kashmir.

 On Friday, the highest ever tally of 387 positive cases were detected in one single day while five more deaths due to Covid-19 were recorded, one in Jammu and four in Kashmir division.

In the last one month,  Jammu &  Kashmir has recorded more than 5,000 new cases of coronavirus.

The tally of positive cases stood at 4507 on June 10 and on Friday the total cases touched 9888.

According to the bulletin,  “out of 9,888 positive cases,  3943 are active positive.   So far, 5786 cases have recovered in Jammu & Kashmir and 159 deaths have been reported.

On ground, the situation is alarming especially in Kashmir valley which is constantly recording over 250 cases for past several days. Out of 387 new cases, 290 cases were detected from Kashmir division and  97 from Jammu division on Friday.

Srinagar is the worst affected district of Kashmir valley. So far 1545 cases have been detected in Srinagar district alone. Out of this  1012 are active positive foloowed by Baramulla with 1251 cases and 707 active positive.

In Jammu region, only Rajouri district witnessed highest ever tally of 51 positive cases in one single day,sending alarm bells ringing among the local population. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Thakur Sher Singh posted a tweet saying, “highest ever spike of Covid-19 +Ve cases in district. 51 including 16 from Red Zone Draj, 20 from Rajouri, Ghamir,

IRP, DPL, Nagesh Bridge Thanamandi, Manjakote, Muradpur Palma, Kakora & another 14 from different areas with travel history”.
