A 200-bed Covid Care Centre (CCC) would come up at the Manjari Devi Nursing College premises in Balianta panchayat Road on the city outskirts here.
For this, Health Department and district administration officials have visited the college and looked into various infrastructural aspects. Bhubaneswar Sub-Collector Debabrata Sahoo, ADM Manoj Kumar Padhee, Balianta BDO Adikanda Behera, CHC Medical Officer in-charge Tanmay Tripathy and ADMOFW Dwarikananath Satpathy and DPM Geetanjali Dash were present.
According to the Sub-Collector, the proposed CCC would run under the direct guidance of the Health and Family Welfare Department.
College founder Sharat Chandra Biswal, chairman and senior journalist Pradosh Patnaik, vice-chairman Jyotsna Dash were present during the officials’ visit.
It may be noted here that the college was earlier made an isolation centre for about 200 Odia migrants earlier.
