Chandigarh’s Covid-19 tally shot up to 35,770 on Wednesday as it recorded 622 Covid-19 cases, the second biggest single-day spike since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Chandigarh witnessed 625, 612, 602 covid-19 cases respectively. The city now has 4125 active cases. Two more deaths on Wednesday took the toll to 423, according to a medical bulletin.
While cases were reported from all sectors, Manimajra reported 47 new cases, Mauli Jagran had 22 cases. As many as 454 people were discharged from various facilities of the city.
