All transport offices in Chhattisgarh will soon get Sensor based Automated Computerized Driving Test Tracks for conducting driving license tests.
This decision was taken at a meeting on Thursday of the Transport Department held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain.
At the meeting, Additional Commissioner (Transport), Dipanshu Kabra, said that Automated Driving Test will help in reducing road accidents.
Only those drivers who successfully pass all the stages of the driving test will be issued a driving license. In view of the successful results of Automated Driving Test Track in Delhi and Gujarat, it will be adopted in Chhattisgarh, he said.
Kabra gave detailed information about the various procedures regarding the construction of the test track.
Members of the company engaged in the work of setting up the driving test track, including the Secretary of the Transport Department, Topeshwar Verma, attended the meeting.
