Workshop on Best Practices in Higher Edu Institutes held

IQAC RNTU organized One day workshop  on ‘Adoption and Assessment of Best Practices in Higher Education Institutes’ on Monday.

Webinar was organised in association with Grand Academic Portal, GAAC and AURO University Surat. Grand Academic Portal (GAP) is an initiative started by veteran academicians to provide a supplementary and complementary element to the existing formal higher education system in India based at Ahmadabad. 

The aim of the workshop was to provide the Quality assurance (QA) that enables a university faculty and student to bring internal benefits as well as bring external benefits. The students can continuously improve themselves, formulate, clarify and articulate the mission, vision, goals and objectives of the university.

 Sai Madhvi, President GAP, shared the points related to the Best practices and how an institution can support its vicinity with the help of small initiatives and can connect with surroundings. She shared the importance of audit mechanisms and also the need of effective audits to ensure quality in the institution.

Vice Chancellor of RNTU  Brahm Prakash Pethiya gave his words of wisdom on quality initiatives taken by university and also the suggestions where each individual whether student or teacher should now technology friendly and they should now go forward with all these skills.

 B. S. Srikanta, Pricipal Sindhi College Bengaluru has given his presentation on “Planning and Implementation of Best Practices in HEIs. His presentation was on Criterion wise Best Practices from 1st to 7 Criterion. Also shared the guidelines of NAAC in term of Best Practices like..Title, Objectives, Context, Actual Practice, Evidence of Success, Problems encountered Mobilization of Resource.

Speaker Prof. K.K. Sharma (Former- Vice Chancellor of MDS University Ajmer, Rajasthan shared that Best Practices can do with small initiatives in the institutes.

He had suggested several areas where we can prove our self that we are doing the extra ordinary work for the society.

He also expressed his concern about practical learning of students as due to Corona pandemic institutes were failed in this area. He has shared that few institutes has created atmosphere for practical work through online also and it will comes in the Best Practices.
