District wise contact numbers of Sakhi One Stop Centers for women in distress released

The Social Security Women and Child Development Department which provides free services to women victims of any form of violence in the state, has established Sakhi One Stop Centers at the district government hospitals. The department has issued district wise contact numbers of Sakhi One stop centres so that the affected women can get timely help.

A spokesperson of the Social Security Women and Child Development Department on Wednesday said that through these one-stop centers, women victims of violence can avail free medical assistance, legal assistance, police-related assistance, psychological and counseling assistance besides free food and a safe place to stay.

He further said that through these one-stop centers, women victims of violence can register their complaints by themselves or through any other person on Women's Helpline number 181.
