On the recommendation of the Medical Council of India (MCI) the Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital the state government has given permission to enroll 100 students in the college. The State government has decided to allow admission to 85 students of Jharkhand and 15 admissions for the students from out of state from allotted 100 seats.
The principal of the medical college Dr. SK Singh said that this is the third batch of the college. The first and second batch students are studying in the medical college. He further said that for the first time we are planning for the online classes for the students. He further said that after this system will be implemented then the students and employees will be in the hospital on a regular basis. With this step of the management no doctor will be absent. This will give more medical services to the patients in the hospital.
Dr. Singh said we are also going to install 128 high resolution cameras for the purpose of security in the hospital. This step will be helpful in theft and other illegal activities in the hospital campus. The college administration has decided to take strict action against anti- social elements.
He further said that a team of MCI had visited the college and hospital and they were 80 per cent satisfied with the education standard and infrastructure which was available at that time. They have suggested for high resolution cameras to be installed in the hospital campus.
