The grand finale of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) held at IIT-ISM concluded with six teams being declared winners.
Deputy commissioner Sandeep Singh handed over the prize money of Rs one lakh each to winner teams during the concluding function amidst presence of winners and the panel of judges both internal and eminent experts of Ministry of Labour and Employment. Director IIT - ISM Prof Rajeev Shekhar and other faculty members were also present.
All hailed the innovative ideas of participating students at SIH . Altogether18 judges including 12 internal judges besides the six judges of the ministry of Labour and Employment carried out four rounds of evaluation of the coding process of the participants who took part in the event.
The two day event organised by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education concluded after four rounds of evaluation by a panel of judges and a separate set of jury.
The Jury comprised of Deepangkar Guha, Deputy Secretary Ministry of Labour and Employment; Dr Shikha Anand, Director –National Career Service Portal; Dinesh K Dharni, Deputy Director (IS) Employment Provident Fund Organization (EPFO); Dr Helen R Sekhar, Senior Fellow (Faculty), Coordinator, National Resource Centre on Child Labour; Dr Otojit Kshetrimanyun, Fellow (Faculty), VV Giri National Labour Institute and Ashwani Kumar, Joint Director DGE, Employment Provident Fund Organization.
The winner for problem - Complaint Redressal Machinery of Industries was MIT Academy of Engineering- Pune. Besides, other institutes that were declared winners of other five problems they worked on include BN College of Engineering- Lucknow, Govt College of Engineering_ Tamilnadu, Dronacharya College of engineering-Gurugram,,Commins College of Engineering- Pune and JP Institute of Information Technology- Noida.
