After a spurt in Dengue –malaria cases in Bhopal, Bhopal Municipal Corporation has warned open plot owners of suitable action including a fine on an empty plot of land with water clogging. After 3 days warning, the corporation has also started action against such land owners.
Many patients have come forward with Dengue-malaria diseases. Thousands of plots are lying vacant in residential areas with most of them filled with dirty water making favourable conditions for mosquito breeding. Due to this, the Municipal Corporation had advised the people to remove water from the plots within 3 days. Failure to do so will invite action. Despite this, many people did not extract water. Now the teams of the corporation are making field visits everyday to take action.
Corporation teams are taking action due to water logging in vacant plots in various areas of the city. So far action has been taken against more than 25 land owners. At the same time, the corporation also sprayed insecticides after cleaning.
In most of the areas of Kolar, there is water in the vacant plots. Due to lack of drainage of rain water, vacant plots are filled with water.
Similar is the situation in the colonies of Hoshangabad Road, so this is the situation in many places including Ashoka Garden, Chhola and Karond. Corporation teams are taking action by doing inspections here.
