Teaching pedagogy case & problem based learning

The Management and Commerce Department of Medi-Caps University, Indore organized a one- day Faculty Development Program on 23 April 2022. The chief guest of the program Prof Dr. DK Panda, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, along with Prof. (Dr.) Harish Bapat, Dean Management and Commerce, Prof. (Dr.) Nitin Girdharwal HOD-Management, Prof. (Dr.) Haldar Sharma, HOD- Commerce, and faculty members from various departments and University research scholars participated in the program.

The first session of the program was delivered by the Dean Management and Commerce Prof. (Dr.) Harish Bapat. He explained the meaning and importance of case base teaching. Case based learning is used by the best institutions across the world to link theory with practical application, case studies help students develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge to make decisions considering various dimensions of the situation. Prof. Bapat demonstrated and discussed the techniques used in classroom teaching as well as small case examples.

Specialist of the second session Prof. Nitin Girdharwal explained and discussed "Outcome Based Education." The new teaching pedagogy is equipped with continuous improvement and Management Graduate Characteristics- Management Knowledge, Complex Problem Investigation, Decision Making, Individual and Team-Work, Lifelong Learning, Ethics and Adaptability to the Environment. The results are achieved in education with high spirit and passion to provide the best content with innovative methods.

The third session was taken by Dr Mukesh Porwal and Dr Sunil Mishra on the subject "Problem Based Learning.

“It is a systematic process that follows a Discussed Problem, Finding Solutions, Sharing Insights, Processing Data, and Generalizing Discussions. Engaged and involving students in reaching permanent solutions in problem based learning. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Registrar Dr Ankur Saxena. The coordinators of the program were Prof Ruchi Kushwaha, Prof. Shilpi Patil, Prof Shushil Laddu, Prof. Jitendra Charan.
