A "Mission Shakti Producer Groups Upskilling Program" was launched here to empower women entrepreneurs by providing essential training and mentoring to enhance their business skills. It is a collective effort of FICCI Ladies' Organisation, Bhubaneswar, and the Mission Shakti.
The programme will focus on improving key areas such as soft skills, business planning, and technical knowledge. It will cater to modern-day business needs, with specific emphasis on sectors such as agriculture and allied services, food processing, handlooms, garment manufacturing, and the intricacies of marketing and branding.
"Empowering women entrepreneurs is not just a goal; it's a mission that we are passionate about," said FICCI Ladies' Organisation, Bhubaneswar chairperson Poonam Mohapatra.
"The Government of Odisha has been actively focusing on and driving the "Mission Shakti" initiative as a key component of its efforts to promote women's self-reliance and entrepreneurship.Through this 'Mission Shakti Producer Groups Upskilling Program,' we aim to make a lasting impact by collaborating with the Government and providing women with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in today's business landscape," Mohapatra added.
The comprehensive training is designed to span over six months and is expected to benefit more than 800 PG group members within the mentioned sectors.
