Bharatiya Janata Party state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhry said that the party was committed to the development of Scheduled Caste and the policies of both the central and the state governments were the reflection of BJP’s commitment to uplift the marginalised society.
He was addressing a meeting of Scheduled Caste Morcha which was attended by BJP state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh, office bearers of the Scheduled Caste Morcha, central and state government ministers, MPs, MLAs, Mayors, district panchayat presidents and municipal council heads.
Chaudhary, emphasised the party’s commitment to the development of Scheduled Caste and lauded the Central government, policies meant for the upliftment of Scheduled Caste.
“Today, the BJP has the highest representation of Scheduled Caste MPs and MLAs across the country. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, five significant memorials dedicated to Dr BR Ambedkar have been established in Mahu (birthplace), Nagpur (place of conversion), Mumbai (place of enlightenment), London (place of education) and Delhi (place of Mahaparinirvana),” he said.
The state BJP president also commended the collaborative efforts of the central government and the state government emphasising their commitment to the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’.
During the meeting, Dharampal Singh discussed in detail the initiatives and programmes being undertaken by the Scheduled Caste Morcha. He emphasised the ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan,’ which involves direct interaction with beneficiaries in the slums, as well as engagement with enlightened members of society, retired officials, athletes, folk artists and other prominent figures.
