Girl student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Tenughat was found hanging by a dupatta in the hostel bathroom on Wednesday evening. She was hurriedly taken to Sub-Divisional Hospital Tenughat by the manager of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, where after examination by Dr. Shambhu Kumar, she was declared dead.
Doctor Shambhu Kumar said that the girl was dead when she was brought to the hospital. The school principal Bipin Kumar said that some students informed that a girl was hanging by a dupatta in the hostel bathroom.
When all the teachers ran, they saw that she was hanged with a scarf in the bathroom window and shortly after she was taken down and taken to the hospital.
Official sources said that in the month of August 2023, she was enrolled in +2 science under mini migration, she came to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tenughat under mini migration from Arwal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bihar.
She is a resident of Sikariya village, Paliganj block, district Patna, Bihar and her family members have also been informed.
School's captain of the hostel told that during the counting in the assembly at 5.15 pm, there was one girl who was found missing, when he went to investigate, he saw that she was hanging in the bathroom. He informed nurse Poonam Lakra, Anju Pandey and other teachers about the incident.
The body will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem in the sub-divisional hospital. However Sub-divisional police officer BN Singh, Petwar CO Ashok Ram, Jaridih Inspector also reached the hospital. Where the Sub-Divisional Police Officer said that prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide.
