The Election Commission in Chhattisgarh has resolved 761 of the 771 complaints of violation of the Model Code of Conduct received through the cVigil App (Citizen Vigil App), an official communiqué said on Tuesday.
Action is on to resolve the remaining complaints.
Citizens can complain about a violation such as defacement of properties through the application by taking a photo or making a two-minute video or audio recording.
The cVigil application has been designed to increase the participation of the citizens for quick resolutions of violations of the model code.
The application connects the complainant to the district control room, returning officer and field verification units (flying squads).
Action is taken within 100 minutes of receiving a complaint. The complainant is informed once the issue is resolved.
Ahead of Assembly elections on November 7 and 17, the Election Commission is taking rapid action on complaints.
