Hry CM inaugurates several developmental projects in Jind

Chandigarh:  Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday inaugurated various developmental projects in Jind, involving a drinking water supply initiative for the town at a cost of Rs 388.27 crore. Additionally, he sanctioned Rs 75.87 crore for augmenting sewage systems in different colonies of Narwana town.  A spokesperson said that the special maintenance of the Jind-Julani Janjgir road, with an expenditure of Rs 3.82 crore, and the special repair of the Jind-Safidon road connecting Jind-Rohtak via Jind-Gohana road crossing the Delhi-Bathinda railway line, costing Rs 3.85 crore, were also inaugurated. Moreover, the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction work of roads on both sides of the canal, from Kandela bridge to Delhi-Bathinda Railway Line Bridge, with an expenditure of Rs.5.98 crore, was conducted.

Committee formed to review compensation policy for Police and Home Guards in Hry

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Monday constituted a four-member committee to provide recommendations for the modification and revision of the current policy, particularly focusing on compensation for police officers and home-guards who are injured or sacrifice their lives during violence and communal unrest. Kaushal presided over the meeting regarding compensation for policemen, home guards, and civilians who lose their lives during violence and communal unrest. The members of the committee are Commissioner & Secretary, Personnel Department, Pankaj Agarwal; Special Secretary, Home-I Department, Mahavir Kaushik; IG, Administration, Sanjay Kumar; and AIG, Welfare Rajeev Deswal. The committee has been asked to provide its recommendations within two weeks.

Haryana Home Minister addresses public grievances

Chandigarh: Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij held a public grievance redressal meeting at his residence on Monday, listening to the concerns of people from across the state and directing the officials concerned to take prompt action.

Hry CS reviews 94 pending CM's announcements of 14 Deptts

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Monday reviewed 94 pending Chief Minister's announcements of 14 Departments- Animal Husbandry, Archaeology & Museum, Dairy Development, Cooperation, Development and Panchayat, Elementary Education, Forest & Wildlife, Higher Education, Home, HSAMB, HSIIDC, Public Health Engineering, Revenue, State Transport here in Chandigarh. The officers concerned were given the necessary directions during the meeting. Earlier Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had asked the Chief Secretary emphasizing the need for expeditious resolution of land-related matters for projects falling under the ambit of Chief Minister's announcements. Kaushal asked the officers to resolve all land-related issues for pending development projects within the next two weeks.

Hry Govt approves renaming of Bhadani to Kaimalgarh Road as Shaheed Vikrant Sehrawat Road

Chandigarh: Haryana Government has given the nod to the renaming of the road from Bhadani to Kaimalgarh in Jhajjar District, in honour of the brave martyr Shaheed Vikrant Sehrawat Road. An official spokesperson said that this decision came after a recommendation from various stakeholders including the Deputy Commissioner, MLA, MP, and the Gram Panchayat concerned. He said that the road, previously known as the Kaimalgarh to Bhadani Road, will now be officially named the Shaheed Vikrant Sehrawat Road, paying homage to the supreme sacrifice made by the martyr.

Hry Dy CM inaugurates University IT, Data and Computer Centre at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa

Chandigarh: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Monday inaugurated the University IT, Data and Computer Centre (UITDC) at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa. The state-of-the-art UITDC Center, has been established at CDLU, signifying a remarkable stride towards technological efficiency. During the inauguration, Chautala highlighted the importance of technology in the present era and commended CDLU for becoming proficient in this domain.

Punjab VB nabs patwari for taking Rs 3k bribe

Chandigarh: Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Monday nabbed a revenue Patwari Narinder Kumar alias Neeta, posted at revenue halqa Malout, Sri Muktsar Sahib district, red-handed for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000. A spokesperson said that the case has been registered against the said revenue official on the complaint of Malout village resident Surjit Singh, who alleged that the Patwari demanded Rs 10,000 as a bribe in lieu of mutation of his land and has taken Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 on two occasions. The complainant further alleged that the said Patwari had demanded Rs 3,000 more for entering the said mutation in revenue records and he had recorded the conversation while the Patwari was demanding this bribe from him.
