Tuesday, 03 October 2023 | PNS | GWALIOR

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Madhya Pradesh has stood first in cleanliness. While staying ahead in development, it is important to note that Madhya Pradesh would be brought in top three states. It is currently among top 10 states.

Modi addressed a public meeting at Gwalior's Mela Ground on Monday. He inaugurated and laid the foundation for several development projects in Madhya Pradesh valuing at Rs 19,000 crores. Modi said that with modern infrastructure and good law and order, development becomes faster in every sector. There was a time when Madhya Pradesh, especially the Gwalior-Chambal region was known for crime and corruption. Now, life is comfortable here. The path to progress has become easier. In the social sector as well, development is being witnessed. The government has resolved people's issues and strengthened their voice assuring them social justice. Today's youth have not seen the difficult times, they have seen the progressing Madhya Pradesh.

Modi said that Gwalior region, which has given many revolutionaries to the country, is a source of inspiration. Patriots from this region dedicated themselves to the service of the nation. Nearly two lakh beneficiaries have been fortunate enough to have their homes before Diwali and Dhanteras from this land. Modi said that new job opportunities will open up for the youth. Soon, India will be included in the top three economies in the world, he added.

Prime Minister Modi said that the Central Government has ensured the well-being of the people in every region. About four crore people have received their own homes. In Madhya Pradesh, lakhs of people have got the opportunity to fulfill their dream of having their own house. The important thing in housing construction is that the beneficiary gets the opportunity to build a house according to their dreams. As the construction of houses is completed, the work of depositing money in the account of the beneficiary has become easier. Along with these houses, toilet facilities, electricity, Ujjwala gas connection, and the benefit of water through pipelines are also being provided. The registration of houses in the Prime Minister's housing scheme is mostly in the names of women. It should be hoped that after coming to these houses, all families will educate their children and give them skills.Guarantee to bring Madhya Pradesh to the top in development. Modi said that today, the foundation stone is being laid for new projects in various places across the state, including the Gwalior region.

While the Vikrampuri Industrial Township has been inaugurated in Ujjain, the foundation stone for the Multi-Model Logistics Park in Indore has also been laid. In addition, the inauguration of a 244-kilometer stretch of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, the Malanpur Bottling Plant of the Indian Oil Corporation, and additional services at the Ratlam Terminal of the Indian Oil Corporation are of great significance. Groundbreaking ceremonies have also taken place for road projects such as Raghavgarh-Indore-Harda, Bakaner Ghat construction, Jeerapur-Pachor, Astha Bypass, and Khilchipur Bypass. Along with this, the inauguration of the academic building, hostel building, and lab complex at IIT Indore will benefit the students.

The Prime Minister described the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Gwalior and Shivpuri districts as an important gift for this region.
