KK Soan made CPO of Lohardaga district

Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Kamal Kishore Soan, who is on Central deputation and is posted as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India has been made the Central Prabhari Officer (CPO) of Lohardaga aspirational district in Jharkhand by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training. Soan has been recently posted in the Union Labour and Employment Ministry. Earlier, he was on crucial posts of the Government of Jharkhand.  

 

DIC BSL recommended next SAIL chairman

Director in-charge Bokaro Steel Limited Amarendu Prakash has been recommended to be the next SAIL Chairman by the Public Enterprises Selection Board, Govt of India. Prakash assumed the post of Director-In-Charge, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), SAIL on 28th September, 2020. B.Tech in Metallurgy from BIT Sindri, He is an accomplished technocrat and has over 30 years of experience, which includes about 26 years in plant operations at BSL and 4 years at SAIL Corporate Office, Delhi. Prakash started his career in SAIL in 1991 with a posting at Hot Strip Mill of Bokaro Steel Plant. During a long stint at BSL, he mastered steel rolling and finishing before taking over as Director In-charge. While being Director in-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant, he was also given additional charge of Rourkela Steel Plant and later Director in-charge of Durgapur and Burnpur Steel Plant for some time during 2021-22.During his tenure as Director Incharge of Bokaro Steel Plant scaled new heights in each and every area of operations. Apart from the plant, many new initiatives were taken for the betterment of the township as well, along with which Bokaro also got the distinction of becoming the country's first Global Active Partner City. The DIC was congratulated by MLA Bokaro , DC Bokaro, SP Bokaro, DDC Bokaro  , Dalmia Cement unit Head including BSL family and Rahul Sharma among others. 

DWA celebrates Poila Boishakh

The Doctors' Wives Association celebrated Poila Boishakh here on Wednesday. More than 70 members were present on the occasion. The organising committee attired in traditional Bengali sarees set the perfect theme. Founder Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar extended her warm wishes of Bengali noboborsho to each and every member. The programme commenced with the welcome address by the President of DWA, Seema Maheshwari. The welcome song by Debjani Sanyal, Nandita Gupta, Balaka Roy, Rinku Banerjee, Shreela Choudhary, Deepa Chouhan was mesmerising. Along with them, Sumita Kumar, Anjana Barnwal, Bibha Singh, Supriya Thakur, Veena Sahu and Rashmi Kumar presented the beautiful welcome dance. The solo dance performance by Sumita Kumar and the recital on synthesiser by Nadita Gupta was highly appreciated. The entire organising team enthralled the audience by their rendition of Rabindra Sangeet. The President of IMA Dr. Shekhar Choudhary and Secretary Dr Pankaj Bodra also graced the occasion and promised to provide a room for DWA’s office. Secretary, Madhu Gupta presented the monthly report and the plan for charity, the foremost aim of DWA. She thanked the organisers and the members for their enthusiastic participation.

EFMICON 2023 at MTMC from today

Jamshedpur: The Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Manipal TATA Medical College, Jamshedpur, a constituent unit/college of MAHE is organising a National Conference in collaboration with Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi. EFMICON 2023, scheduled from April 13 to 15, 2023 at MTMC campus is themed on "Ensuring the future of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology through curricular innovation and its practical utility". The conference will bring together over 15 national resource faculty and over 150 delegates from forensic medicine, legal experts, and law enforcement agencies across India over the three academic fests. Over three-day faculty will deliberate on pressing issues related to Implementation of the Competency based medical education in Forensic medicine & toxicology. An exclusive hands-on training in Crime scene analysis for police personnel is also being organized on 15 April 2023 as a part of this national conference.

Man shot by armed assailants in Dhanbad

Dhanbad: One person identified as Rajkumar Saw, son of Madan Mahto, a government Amin, was shot dead by armed assailants at Kurmidih locality under Barwadda police station in broad daylight. The assailants escaped on a two wheeler after committing the crime. Rajkumar died on spot another person identified as Nagendar Yadav has sustained several bullet injuries and has been referred to RIMS Ranchi after preliminary treatment at SNMMCH Dhànbad. According to doctors, some bullets are trapped in the victim's body.

Guv’s OSD (J) reaches VBU


Hazaribag: By the order of the Chancellor of the Jharkhand state universities, the Officer on Special duty (J) Mukulesh Chandra Naryan reached the university headquarters of Vinoba Bhave University to examine the facts of financial irregularities in the university. The officers of the university welcomed the OSD (J). Due to the illness of the vice chancellor of the university, he was not present in his chamber. The OSD (J) had reached the VC office and started checking the facts of the financial irregularities in the university during the tenure of the present vice chancellor. In absence of VC, the registrar Kumar Vikash and proctor MK Singh produced the all papers, which were demanded by the OSD (J). The important and related papers were photo copied by the officers and handed over to him.
