Second chapter of Capacity Building Programme opens

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, has organised a second three-day Capacity Building Programme for members of consumer Dispute Redressal Commission of Madhya Pradesh from December 01-03, 2023 sponsored by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, the Government of India.

A total of 38 members of the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission from different districts of Madhya Pradesh would be attending the three-day(s) Capacity Building Program.

The Capacity Building Programme was inaugurated on 1st December, 2023 by the Chief Guest Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India to briefly talk about the program.

The Programme commenced with the welcome address delivered by the Vice Chancellor

(I/c) & Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh N. Hadli. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Awdhesh Shrivastava, Retired District and Sessions Judge and Former Registrar State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Babugouda S Patil, Associate Professor, VM Salgaocar College of Law, Goa and SN Khare, Retired District Judge and Adjunct Faculty of Law.

All the esteemed guests gave their inputs and insights on the need for efficient implementation of consumer laws. Rohit Kumar Singh stressed upon both quantity and quality of disposal of matters as well as integration of technology with the functioning to maximize efficiency & disposal.

The Capacity Building Program was put together by combined efforts of Shruti Nandwana, Assistant Professor (Law), Bhagyashree Agarwal, Teaching Associate (Law) & Siddharth Saxena, Teaching Associate (Law).
