A sensitization workshop on ICD 10 coding was organised by the Department of Hospital Administration AIIMS Bhopal in collaboration with Central Bureau of Health Intelligence, regional office Health and family Welfare Government of India in AIIMS Bhopal on Wednesday.

The programme was inaugurated by Executive Director AIIMS Bhopal Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh. Dr.R.S Rawat Sr. Regional Director central bureau of Health Intelligence Bhopal was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.

Dean academics, Deputy Director, Medical superintendent and Faculty Members were also present on the occasion. Around 100 participants attended the sensitization workshop. Director AIIMS Bhopal stressed the need that all Doctors and Paramedics should participant in such workshops, which help in 100% implementation of a program.

Dr R.S Rawat in his address thanked the AIIMS Bhopal Administration for organising and cooperating for conducting the workshop.

He further said that CBHI Bhopal will in future continue such workshops and training program in AIIMS Bhopal. Dean Academics during his address said that ICD10 training will in future be more helpful in uniform identification of diseases and reimbursement claims.

Dr. Atul Shrivastava gave a detailed overview of the ICD 10 coding. He discussed neoplasm coding with the participants.

Meanwhile, Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine, AIIMS Bhopal conducted a "Workshop on Basics of Flow Cytometry" on Wednesday. Residents and faculty from various Medical Colleges in Madhya Pradesh participated in the workshop. Facility for Flow Cytometry is imperative for the diagnosis and monitoring of hematological malignancies and thus dissemination of knowledge in this domain is of extreme importance for the benefit of patients of Central India.

The workshop was inaugurated by Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal. At the inauguration, welcome note and brief introduction about the workshop was given by Professor (Dr.) Neelkamal Kapoor, Organizing Chairperson of the workshop.
