Devanika Hospital readies to serve the masses

Just 6 kms from the Birsa Chowk towards Khunti at the Ancillary chowk, Tupudana one can see a 9 storey building with the name Devanika Hospital. The white building is impressive but one has to enter inside to see the marvelous facilities it has

Starting from a very impressive 10 beds emergency the concept of general OPD appeals to everyone here. All consultant doctors would spend 6 hours a week in general opd with fees of Rs 400. The other patients can consult by appointment in the private opd on the first floor. Special care has been taken to ensure smooth admission and treatment of Ayushman patients, CGHS, CAPF and ESI . 65 beds have been designated for general wards and the paediatric unit is very colourful with red beds and yellow walls.

State of the art laboratory, dedicated gastroenterology, Pulmonology and Nephrology are on the second floors. The second floor is shared by Gynecology and Obstetrics with a proposed IVF unit in future

Besides an advanced 15 beds Burn unit , third floor also has medical ICU ( 26 beds), Paediatric ICU ( 21 beds),  NICU  16 beds and stepdown ICU of 8 beds. There is ample sunlight in all corners of the ICUs

The operation theatre complex is on the fourth floor with 4 state of the art modular ots and one non modular one, and the surgeries have started. There is another 8 bedded surgical ICU besides a day care

Fifth floor boasts of a complete cardiology with two cardiac cath labs and two cardiac operation theatres , besides 10 beds of CTVS ICU and another 14 beds for step down. There is provision of 13 beds in the cardiac cath bay area.

There are private rooms on the sixth and seventh floor with 3 suites, 4 deluxe rooms and another 38 rooms

The top floor will have a gymnasium in future.

Besides all this there are no parking issues as on the basement 45 cars can be parked and blood bank, Physiotherapy units are proposed in the upper basement

The special feel of the hospital is the space, economical charges (ICU charges would be 8000 to 12000/day), ease of movement and the humility of the staff led by Dr Anant Sinha himself.

Dr Anant Sinha has led a revolution of moving away from the corporatization of medicine . He set up Devkamal hospital in 2008 and in the last 15 years Devkamal hospital has been a benchmark of success.
